The Dreaming

In the mythology of the Indigenous Australians, the Dreaming is a time of creation when the world took shape and all life began. During Dreamtime, ancestral beings created the landscape, made the first people and taught the people how to live (Encyclopedia.com n.d.). Stories from this period of time are still told today and each of them tell a message. These stories, called Dreamtime stories or Dreaming stories, help Indigenous people make sense of the world and are used to learn and teach.
